KBW has partnered with a successful engineering firm in their search for an Assistant Controller.
This position will oversee the accounting department to ensure the accuracy of accounting data as required by management.
Responsibilities:
Direct the month end close with cooperation of the accounting team.
Work to streamline the month end close with process and internal control improvements
Lead the implementation of financial and management information systems;
Drive compliance to ensure the integrity of financial results.
Compile financial information to aid strategic management
Coach and manage direct reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in accounting or finance. CPA a plus.
More than three years of progressive accounting experience. Strong computer and accounting software expertise a must.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of standard financial reporting software
