Business Development Manager

Each year, nearly 4 million people donate blood through the Red Cross, helping to provide more than 40% of America's blood supply.
Aggressive, mission-driven sales representatives are essential to getting our foot in the door with various organizations & businesses that offer new opportunities in blood collection.
Help us to keep this important pipeline of blood donation partners vibrant! We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager for Donor Recruitment to cover our Vermont and New Hampshire territories.
This is a full time position.

In this position you will:
Plan and implement effective strategies to recruit, retain and manage new Sponsor organizations and relationships to achieve established incremental growth collection goals.
Focus may be on New Business development, specific Vertical Markets, specific Key Accounts or other specialized targets as defined by regional management.
Develop potential Sponsor leads.
Educate Sponsor chairpersons in organizational requirements.
Provide ongoing support to Sponsors and implement appropriate special donor recruitment programs.
Provide accurate record keeping in Hemasphere and participate in sponsor recognition.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity.
Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications or equivalent combination of related education and experience required.
Minimum of five years related experience required.
Two years successful Recruitment Representative experience preferred.
Knowledge of C-Level suite sales, group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred.
Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including training and presentation skills is required.
A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
