Electrical Estimator

Due to company growth, we are currently looking to add another Electrical Estimator to the team at our location in Plaistow, NH.

Your compensation package will depend on your level of experience, but we do offer a comprehensive benefits package which could include a company vehicle. This position will require traveling (day trips) across most of New England.
Responsibilities:
Create accurate and complete quantity take-offs from scratch for commercial and industrial jobs of all sizes, in a timely manner
Input take-offs into an estimating format
Write bid proposals for projects
Monitor activities of competitors to ensure a proactive approach with regard to future estimates
Maintain knowledge of current material and subcontractor pricing to ensure pricing structure of all products and services is profitable and competitive
Attend meetings with customers and Project Managers
Provide upper management with reports on bids won/lost
Meet productivity goals for bids produced, bids won and minimal margin of error
Qualifications:

years experience as an estimator for an electrical contractor
Electrical Journeyman License (a plus)
Thorough knowledge of electrical code requirements
Proven ability in estimating techniques and cost control methodology
Proven ability to work with engineer's and architect's drawings and blueprints
Verifiable proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, strong aptitude for learning new technological applications
Familiarity with estimating software packages (Con Est or Vision)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
