This recruitment is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT being utilized to fill current and future RN vacancies within the Manchester, NH VA Medical Center-The first cut off date will be 15 days from the closing date of this announcement, with subsequent cut off dates every 15 days until vacancies are filled.
The specific practice areas featured in this announcement include:
o Primary Care RN -The Primary Care registered nurse functions as the care manager on the assigned PACT teamlet.
The Primary Care RN Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care delivery system utilizing the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model of patient care.
The RN utilizes assessment findings from all involved disciplines and the PACT teamlet.
Reports significant changes to provider, Identifies specific patient goals, using the PACT process, Evaluates patient's progress toward achieving goals, Collaborates with professional peers, members of the interdisciplinary PACT team, and the programs/services and community resources in meeting patient care needs.

o Urgent Care RN - As a Urgent Care Staff Nurse you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients in the Urgent Care Department.
Incumbent provides safe, basic nursing care to assigned group of patients in a timely and organized manner.
She/He utilizes skills in IV Therapy, EKG interpretation, cardiac monitoring, patient assessment.
Strong knowledge of emergency/urgent care medications and procedures is a must.
ACLS Certified, or willing to obtain.
Schedule-Position will include shift rotations, weekends and holidays.
o Mental Health RN- The Mental Health RN will be trained to provide but not limited to, the coverage in all areas of the Mental Health service line to include, the Primary Care Mental Health integration setting and The Substance Abuse Program.

o Community Living Center and Geriatrics and Extended Care Line (CLC/GEC)RN -As a Staff Nurse you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured veterans.
Duties include documenting observations, assessments, and changes in patient's condition; collaborating with health team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes; providing a full range of nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavior problems; and accountable for meeting and maintaining the qualification standards and functional statements of assigned grade.
Our facility is seeking individuals who possess good organizational skills which enable completion of work, a demonstrated ability to assume leadership in a patient centered program, and the ability to establish effective communication with patients, families, visitors and members of the interdisciplinary team.

o Operating Room RN -The position is located in the Same Day Surgery section of the Specialty and Acute Service Line of the Manchester VAMC.
The incumbent will report directly to the Nurse Manager of the Surgical Clinic.
The selected applicant will be assigned to the operating room, which performs same day surgical procedures at the Manchester VA Medical Center.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating nursing care for patients in the Same Day Surgery (SDS)Unit.
The incumbent may also be called upon to assist in the PACU and Surgical Specialty Clinics as needed.
Provides safe nursing care to include, but not limited to pre procedure education, scheduling surgical procedures, pre and post procedure care of the SDS patients with appropriate documentation in a timely and organized manner.
Administers and documents prescribed interventions/orders, treatments/procedures and medications.
Assist with Pain procedures in the clinic and procedure room as needed.
Observes and reports pertinent physical and emotional reactions and other outcomes of care.
Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal skills with both external and internal customers.
BLS and ACLS required.
The Operating Room RN must meet the following Position Requirement to be considered for the position:
1 year of recent (within 3 years) of Operating Room Experience.
