Senior Systems Engineer / Network Engineer - Project / Team Lead
First Choice Networks is a managed services provider looking for a highly organized and accomplished systems engineer who can plan and implement projects and mentor junior engineers. The person we ultimately bring on-board will need to be someone who pours themselves into their work and their team, and take pride in everything they do; someone who won't let team members around them settle for less and doesn't mind doing whatever it takes to keep our clients happy.

Responsibilities:
Lead project team in planning, management and execution of:
Server deployments / upgrades
Network deployments / upgrades
Software deployments / upgrades
Large scale desktop deployments / upgrades
Service department:
Act as senior level engineer for systems / network escalations
Senior backup architect / manager
Act as mentor to lower level engineers
Join team in management of RMM and PSA tools
Evaluate current and potential new business tools
Join leadership team in continuing development / refinement of operational protocols and procedures
Experience:
10 years' experience in IT field
5 years progressively responsible experience in system / network administration
5 years or greater project management experience
2 years or greater team management experience
Technical Skills:
Microsoft server operating systems 2003 through 2012. Ability to implement full windows environments from the ground up.
Microsoft Exchange email management / implementation experience with versions 2003 through 2013
High level experience with Major virtualization platforms
High level experiencing with networking and related systems: VLANS, routing, switching, DNS, etc.
Experience with site diagrams / Visio very important
Experience with project management software is important
Experience working with Fortinet products a plus
Experience working with asterisks and other phone systems a plus
Experience working with linux a plus
Necessary Qualities:
Natural adherence to standards and procedures
Extremely organized and self-starting
Natural ability to lead and build rapport with team members
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills and ability to quickly and accurately touch-type
Strong focus on customer satisfaction
Strong problem solving skillsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
