Under the general supervision of the Director or Manager, Environmental Services and the direct supervision of the Manager or Supervisor, Environmental Services and within established Catholic Medical Center and departmental policies and procedures, the incumbent performs the following functions:
Essential Functions: Completes the seven steps of cleaning procedure for assigned areas including: trash removal, high dusting, damp disinfecting, dry mopping, bathroom cleaning, wet mopping and inspection. Strips, washes, and makes bed after a patient is discharged. Disinfects wheelchairs, stretchers and other equipment. Moves furniture to clean and replaces in proper location. Completes window, wall and blind cleaning. Stocks cart and supplies for work areas. Maintains equipment in clean, safe, and orderly condition. Refills and replenishes soap, toilet paper, paper towel and paper cup dispensers. Completes daily Environmental control checklist of areas assigned with discharge list. Reports any broken, missing and/or faulty equipment or materials to Supervisor. Attends monthly meetings and participates in departmental inservices. Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to all infection control/ universal precaution policies, safety policies, and safety policies for department chemicals as directed in the procedure manual. Demonstrates knowledge of Emergency Preparedness policies as directed in the Environment of Care Manual. Maintains the accuracy of the Bed Status Maintenance Screen. Ensures the confidentiality of employee, patient. Legal, budget and organization matters. Maintains good communication; establishes and maintains positive working relationships with employees, patients and the public.
Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: None required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
