Opens and/or closes the gift shop. Assists customers in the selection and purchase of items. Maintains the shop in a neat and orderly fashion.
Key
Responsibilities:
Opens and closes the shop. Prepares, closes and balances cash draw.
Greets customers.
Assists customers with selecting merchandise.
Takes phone orders.
Totals purchases, accepts payment, makes change and thanks customers for their purchase.
Restocks available merchandise as needed.
Prices merchandise.
Dusts and vacuums the shop.
Empties wastebasket and cleans the flower cooler from debris.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be congenial to all who come into the shop.
Must be organized in doing the position.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Previous retail experience preferred.
