Job Summary:
Gathers and documents demographic and financial data on patients. Gathers, verifies, and enters demographic and financial data on patients registered. Obtains consents, assignment of benefits, and releases. Prepares addressograph plates and ID bracelets and distributes with admission forms. Provides patients with information required by federal mandates, i.e., Patient Rights and Responsibilities, Advance Care Directives, and important messages from Medicare/Champus.
Education:
High school diploma with courses in typing and computer skills preferred; medical terminology preferred.
Experience:
Customer service relations and office experience preferred.
Certification:
CPR preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
