Dependent on experience will hire a Business Info Analyst Senior or Business Info Consultant
Responsible for generating, analyzing, reporting and monitoring data extracts related to Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) Inter-Plan Payment Innovation accountable care models (e.g., ACOs, PCMHs, Enhanced Personal Health Care).
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze data and summarize performance for exploratory work relating to Payment Innovation Inter-Plan program development
- Manage, validate and troubleshoot files passed to and from BCBSA related to Payment Innovation- Track and report on overall results of accountable care models, both relative to internal program benchmarks and to non-program populations
- Create and maintain databases to track business performance
- Analyze data and summarize performance using summary statistical procedures
- Develop and analyze data exchange extracts and provide notations of performance deviations and anomalies
- Create and publish periodic reports, make necessary recommendations, and develop ad hoc reports as needed
- May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools
- Make recommendations based upon data analysis
Additionally, the Business Info Consultant is responsible for:
- Serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations with regard to Payment Innovation accountable care models with a focus on BCBSA data exchange extracts
- Developing and supporting complex analytics for exploratory work relating to Payment Innovation Enterprise program development
- Providing guidance to other data analysts
- Offering analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership and external customers
Requires a BS/BA degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
2-7 years of experience with data analysis, relational databases, and use of query tools (Consultant requires 5 ); or any combination of education and experience
Healthcare experience is required, and managed care experience is preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills
Ability to manipulate large sets of data
Experience with SAS, SQL and Excel required
Experience with provider reimbursement or other valued based reimbursement systems is preferred
Knowledge of BCBSA Inter-Plan programs is a plus
Experience with Infogix or similar data quality tools is a plus
Experience with Tableau or other reporting tools is a plus
