Under the general supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services and the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor and within established policies and procedures, the incumbent performs the following functions:
Essential Functions: Assists with a variety of tasks directly related to the assembly of meal trays, tray line preparation, and tray delivery and retrieval. Performs various dish room and sanitation tasks, removes all small wares from patient food carts and performs ware washing and sanitation procedures of all equipment and returns all cleaned items to the proper stations. Cleans assigned work areas, food carts, dish room and kitchen areas. Inventories, rotates product, maintains appropriate par levels, organizes and restocks work stations/work area. Practices proper food handling procedures during food service. Prepares and/or delivers patient trays and between meal nourishments via push carts or food trucks. Exercises proper portion control techniques. Acts as a liaison between the patient and the Department to ensure patient satisfaction. Identifies and solves food service related problems. Performs cleaning jobs as assigned by supervisor and maintains a clean, safe and organized work area. Ensures confidentiality of employee, legal, client/patient, budget and all company matters. Maintains good communications, establishes and maintains positive working relationships within the department, with other employees and the public. Adheres to personal hygiene guidelines and departmental infection control standards as outlined.
Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Food service knowledge preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
