Job Summary:
This position supports the Volunteer Resources Department by performing a variety of clerical, communications and coordinating functions associated with the administration of all Elliot Health System Volunteer Programs ensuring effective, efficient, timely and accurate department office processes.
Answer phones and greets volunteers, staff, patients and visitors providing information, responding to inquiries or referring them appropriately.
Schedules meetings and interviews with Director as needed.
Assists with the on boarding/placement of volunteers to include, reference checking, health screening and orientation.
Open and prioritize Volunteer Resources Department incoming mail and materials for proper distribution.
Oversee and provide daily direction to office volunteers regarding tasks, priorities and training.
Update and maintain volunteer data and files, both electronic and paper to include but not limited to orientation, safety, employee health screening and annual training.
Coordinates the Volunteer Orientation.
Input and maintain volunteer time card system to include tracking of all log books, data entry of volunteer hours, and generating necessary monthly reports.
Assist with continuing education, in-services, information and enrichment programs for volunteers.
Assist the Director with special functions, events and projects, recognitions and awards programs.
Maintain monthly schedules for volunteer programs managed specifically by the Volunteer Resource Office.
Performs general clerical duties including typing, photocopying, faxing, preparing or editing documents.
Maintains supplies for the Volunteer Resource Department. ?????
Education:High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:A minimum of two (2) years of office, customer service, or related experience required. Previous experience working in a volunteer office or similar social service environment preferred.
Software/Hardware:Proficient in MS Office.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
