Concentra is seeking a physician to support our medical centers, as Area Medical Director within our North New England Market. This area includes centers in Eastern Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Qualified applicants can office out of any of any of the area centers.
JOB
Responsibilities:
As an Area Medical Director, you will:
Participate with other Area Medical Directors and the VP Medical Operations to provide consistent medical practice in an area, region, or zone
Implement policy and protocol and recommend potential growth opportunities for new or existing services within the market
Focus on the financial and clinical objectives of the region/area
Directly supervise Center Medical Directors in the area or region, and indirectly superviseall center medical staff
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Board Certified in Occupational Medicine, or other Primary Care specialty
Current unrestricted medical license in state of jurisdiction as required for clinical and/or business duties
Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
Medical degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from accredited institution
ACLS Certified (preferred)
Minimum of five years of directly applicable experience
Minimum of three years' experience in managed care, physician management, and occupational/preventive medicine consulting with employer groups (preferred)
Experience developing and leading medical quality improvement programs, preferably in a managed care setting
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS:
