Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director of Patient and Physician Network Relations and within established hospital/department policies and procedures, the Communication Call Center/Receptionist performs the following functions:
Providessuperiortelephone and in-person etiquette to all patients, visitors, providers, and staff.
Maintains confidentiality to the highest degree at all times.
Operates telecommunication equipment, answers and route calls to the appropriate department/personnel.
Demonstrates professionalism and appearance when representing the Elliot Health System. Required to wear Elliot Image Wear when performing any direct face-to-face contact with the patients and visitors.
Performs After Hours Telephone Answering Services for all Elliot owned practice and maintains logs for each call. Provides accurate information when paging On Call Providers. Uses Epic to communication with Physicians.
Accesses Epic to identify the correct patient and creates a Telephone Encounter in the patient s Electronic Medical Record.
Monitors all Fire Panels and Security Alarms.Responds and acts on all Emergency and Alarm panels (Fire, ICU Codes, KinderGuard, Elliot outside buildings) to alert the proper authorities to address the emergency immediately.
Coordinates Pediatric Transports with external and internal Providers and Ambulance transport from all participating Hospitals in New Hampshire.
Maintains computerized customer service log, E-Z Track, and conveys information to appropriate area.
Maintains contact with Operations and Security staff by using two-way radio system and/or two different paging systems.
Education/Experience:
School diploma or equivalent preferred.
II.Experience:A minimum of two (2) years experience in a multi-board communication setting servicing 1,500 calls or more dailypreferred. Experience withMulti-board or PC based telephone consoles, computers, and emergency alarm systems preferred.EPIC experience preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
