Summary:
This position functions within the Elliot Health System IT Team, positioned at the VNA to assure support for end users and overall functionality ofEMR which includes over 120 laptops in the field. The VNA recently converted to the EPIC homecare/ hospice EMR. EPIC is a fully integrated EMR and one of the best in healthcare, as rated by independent reviewers.
Responsibilities:
Manages, supports, and expands key computer systems and applications within the organization. Includes system deployment, software configuration and problem resolution of client-based equipment related to these applications. These duties and responsibilities will be performed under the guiding principles of the Information Technology and Services Group which is to support the business requirements of the organization and adhere to the standards established by the Information Technology and Services Group. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of the supported system and key departments that use the system. Maintains application software as required by performing such tasks as table management, configuration control, software version control and account administration. Resolves problems for supported application(s). Makes direct application changes as necessary to resolve problems. Coordinates problem resolution efforts with other Information Technology and Services staff, end-users and non-Elliot Health System resources. Serves as primary interface between the organization and the supporting application vendor.
Education:Bachelor''s degree in MIS, computer science, or equivalent experience in related field preferred. Experience with PC based systems operating in a client server environment preferred.
Experience:Level II-Candidates must have 5-10 years of application support experience. Candidates must have 1-year background in the specific area that will be supported. Health care experience preferred. Experience with interfaces preferred.
