Role and Responsibilities
Our development organization delivers all software product enhancements, covering both core strategic product releases, and also customer specific features for our professional
services
teams. The person we are seeking will oversee and coordinate activities across both of these delivery channels, and in addition, help coordinate our IT/Operations schedules. This is a decidedly technical role; you will work directly with software engineers, support specialists and service delivery consultants, and be expected to understand our business and products.
As a business analyst, you will bridge between business requirements and software feature definitions, collaborating with our product
manager
and software engineering team. Your organizational and interpersonal skills are key to our success; you will be expected to define schedules, track progress and quickly respond to issues to maintain progress to meet customer commitments.
Our team works very collaboratively on many concurrent projects and we are very customer focused. We need you to help lead these projects and work across teams to make sure issues are identified and customer need are met. You must be proactive to head-off potential blocking situations and develop the contingency plans to handle the unexpected. In addition, you'll be responsible to define, improve and implement pragmatic processes to ensure our organization works efficiently and professionally.
Key
Responsibilities:
Translate customer requirements into feature definitions and document effectively
Scoping, defining and managing plans/schedules/deliverables for multiple projects
Manage expectations and negotiate scope with project stakeholders
Track progress against objectives and proactively develop corrective strategies
Resolve conflicting priorities in scope, schedule and cost
Present project plans and status to senior-level management
Define, document and implement product development and delivery processes
Expected Qualifications
You should possess a technical background with a good grasp of software development principles. Current or recent experience in a data focused, metrics driven team is beneficial. In addition, you should have exceptional problem solving and design skills, with multiple years of experience delivering software.

Strong technical project management experience
Excellent task management, organizing, prioritizing and analytical skills
Good understanding of the software development life cycle
Demonstrated ability to plan and drive projects across business and technical disciplines
Strong communication skills; an ability to effectively coordinate across cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to work across groups and geographies and with all levels of hierarchy
Proficiency with MS Project; MS Office Suite
