This position will report into Operations and will play a critical role in supporting the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations and the safety of their workforce. Description


The Environmental, Health, & Safety Coordinator - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:


  1. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the manufacturing facility to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and contribute to the development of corrective and preventive action plans.
  4. Support the coordination of employee training programs on safety procedures, hazard recognition, and emergency response protocols.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and regulatory compliance.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
  7. Stay informed about changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and assist in the interpretation and implementation of new requirements.
  8. Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement of EHS initiatives.
  9. Assist in the management of waste disposal, recycling programs, and other environmental sustainability efforts.
  10. Provide support for emergency response drills and coordinate with external agencies as necessary.


Profile


The ideal Environmental, Health, & Safety Coordinator - Manufacturing will have the following
Qualifications:


  1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
  2. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant EHS standards is a plus.
  3. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  4. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and establish positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  7. Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  8. Relevant internship or work experience in EHS or related field is desirable but not required.


Job Offer


The successful Environmental, Health, & Safety Coordinator - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:


  • Base Salary of $60,000-$95,000 depending on experience

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
