Workforce Development Specialist

POSITION SUMMARYThe Workforce Development Specialist will assist in the creation and design of a comprehensive and integrated approach to Elliot Health System's (EHS) workforce planning and development efforts.
Reporting to the Director of Workforce Development and Experience, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing and managing all active workforce development grants, collaborating with EHS leaders across the system on workforce development initiatives, and partnering with community organizations and educational institutes to braid resources needed to enhance the workforce.
This role also coaches and supports employees of EHS with career development and provides resources that are available.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee active workforce development grants.
Facilitate communications with healthcare consortium partners regarding incumbent worker enrollments.
Set-up partner reporting protocols and coordinate data collection, report generation, and preparation and submission of quarterly performance reports.
Track performance measures and continuously assess progress toward goals to incorporate continuous improvement.
Coordinate with Elliot's Philanthropy and Finance Departments to monitor financial expenditures and oversee quarterly fiscal status reporting.
Develop braided funding plans (based on individual eligibility) to support leveraged tuition assistance plan for each participant.
Provide collaborative outreach and pipeline development.
Collaborate with public workforce system partners to facilitate program marketing/outreach and unemployed/underemployed enrollment.
Serve as a significant contributor to building Workforce Programs and Pathways including assessment, program development, marketing, and tracking for reporting.
Develop and utilize data from needs assessments to design training and career development programs aligning the hospitals current and future workforce needs.
Facilitate cross-functional business alignment by engaging key stakeholders in defining and development strategies for the organization.
Advise staff/students on career pathways and educational requirements.
Assist staff/students in developing career success plans, helping participants to understand and document strengths and challenges, long-term career goals, and plans to achieve those goals.
Create standardized career pathways for needed occupations, connecting participants to internal resources, and utilizing current EHS development courses/content.
Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education - Formal education (e.
g.
High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree, graduate of an accredited program) Bachelor's degree in a health care related field required.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Master's degree in health care related field preferred.
Licensure/certification - Include due date if licensure/certification is required after hire.
Registered Nurse licensure in State of New Hampshire required.
Professional coaching certification preferred.
Experience - Number of years and type of directly related work experience (e.
g.
2-4 years of accounting experience) A minimum of three-five (3-5) years of experience working in health care, human resources, or workforce development with managerial or leadership experience required.
Experience implementing managing large-scale programs preferred.
Established track record of positive outcomes utilizing change management or coaching preferred.
Knowledge - Commonly known principles to execute the duties of this job.
Knowledge of change management framework and approaches preferred.
Skills - Measurable learnings (e.
g.
Intermediate level of Excel and Word) Demonstrable proficiency with coaching techniques and communication.
Strong analytic skills preferred.
Abilities - Demonstrated learnings(e.
g.
Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments) Demonstrated ability to work with people from all levels of an organization, present program findings, conduct business planning, and multitask while maintaining longitudinal programs required.
A high degree of organizational and interpersonal skills.
High emotional intelligence to manage conflict, promote equity and inclusion, and develop talent required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
