Industrial Automation EngineerResponsibilitiesAutomation System Design:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop automation systems tailored to meet manufacturing requirements.
PLC Programming:
Create, modify, and debug PLC programs and ladder logic to control and monitor manufacturing equipment.
Computer Aided Design (CAD):
Create and modify components and assemblies for existing and future automation systems.
Integration:
Ensure seamless integration of automation solutions with existing manufacturing equipment and systems.
Testing and Validation:
Conduct thorough testing and validation of automation systems to ensure functionality and performance.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve automation-related issues and equipment malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Continuous Improvement:
Propose and implement process improvements to enhance automation efficiency and productivity.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure automation systems comply with safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Documentation:
Create comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, user manuals,electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
Training:
Provide training to operators and maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of automated systems.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to optimize automation processes and meet production goals.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering,Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering,or a related field.
Relevant certifications are a plus.
Proven experience as an Automation Engineer, with a strong background in PLC controls and ladder logic.
Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, automated machinery, and industrial control systems.
Experience with robotic systems, including six-axis industrial robots, SCARA robots, and/or collaborative robots.
Experience with machine vision systems, including Keyence, Zebra, or Cognex vision cameras, software, and vision tools.
Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.
g.
, ladder logic, structured text) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) development.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.
g.
, Ethernet/IP, Modbus) and SCADA systems.
Solid understanding of safety standards and regulations related to automation and manufacturing processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Adaptability to changing project requirements and a willingness to stay updated on emerging automation technologies.
