We are currently looking to add a Manager to our Structural Engineering Department.
The successful candidate will oversee departmental activities that perform calculations using structural design software, analyzes aluminum extrusions and steel fasteners and determine their structural capacity.
The ideal candidate will have the following Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
A background in steel and aluminum design Licensure as a professional engineer (PE) Experience with curtain wall, storefront, windows, composites or sandwich panels a plus Experience managing engineering / design documentation Strong verbal and written skills and experience communicating project requirements and providing guidance on design modifications to stakeholders Duties and
Responsibilities:
Directs department activities to support other departments, design new products, modify existing designs and manage product design improvement through revision tracking and traceability.
Directly supervise 3-5 employees in the performance of their daily and strategic activities Monitor and report on industry and regulatory trends that could affect the company.
Participate in product testing for structural, fire and other performance criteria Develop and maintain quality control standards, specifications and procedures.
Acts as primary point of contact for various approval and certification agencies.
Produce, review and approve formal calculations and shop drawings for projects.
