Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a background in Bridge Engineering for an incredible opportunity in our Augusta, ME, Portland, ME, or Manchester, NH office to work on a variety of challenging bridge, structural, and other infrastructure projects to serve the needs of the clients in Maine and New Hampshire. Candidates must have strong project management experience, specifically in the transportation engineering fields and be fully capable of providing project and team leadership and direction. Candidates must possess excellent organizational, communication and technical writing skills. To qualify as a candidate, you must possess at least a B.S. in Engineering or related field and 14 years of experience in the municipal and/or transportation project arenas. Professional Engineering Registration is required. Responsibilities & Requirements:
If selected, you'll work with technical teams to provide project management and leadership for structural and transportation engineering services, ranging from planning and design to construction and more. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and an interest in the structural engineering field. Please refer to the required and preferred skillsets and duties below for additional qualities. Specific Project Management duties would include:
Project Team Leadership - Build project teams with internal and external resources. Effectively develop and retain staff, communicate, delegate responsibility, drive continuous improvement, and inspire and motivate others Adherence to Kleinfelder's Quality Assurance and Quality Control Processes to deliver projects that meet or exceed our client's expectations Provides contract review and analysis for all departments including drafting terms, payment options, contract compliance and precedents. Reviews signature authority, insurance requirements and specialized provisions including federal contracts, subcontracts, joint venture agreements, master services agreements, teaming and cooperative agreements, independent contractor agreements. Reviews and drafts contracting forms, subcontracts, policies and procedures/processes. Handles client questions and requests, communicates with clients, follows procedure to solve client problems, understands full range of company services, maintains pleasant and professional image. Adherence to our client's business operations, policies, and practices processes for assigned projects Experience in project management, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and resource planning for individual projects. Conducts positive negotiations, ability to compromise, handles conflict, seeks common ground, articulates own and others goals, stays focused on positive outcome. Experience with scheduling software in order to maintain accurate, detailed project schedules. Maintain and update financial forecasts and project(s) schedules on a monthly basis or more frequently, as required. Maintain a good working relationship and interface with client's Project Manager or POC and discipline leads including; Environmental, Right of Way, Utilities, Engineering, Construction, and Procurement. Travel to client offices and project sites as required. Valid Maine Driver's license required. Compliance with environmental, safety, and company standards and policies Required skills:
14 years of bridge engineering and project management experience B.S. in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering program Maine Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license Strong organizational, communication, computer, and technical writing skills Proficient using Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) Proven experience and reputation with municipal and transportation agencies Preferred skills:
Experience in the Alternate Delivery methods including Design Build, Public Private Partnerships and CMGC projects in the Roadway/Bridge, Rail/Transit, Airport and Port market segments Bridge Design, Bridge rating, inspection (NBIS) and/or construction experience Proficiency in the following software/programs:
AutoCAD,Civil 3D, Microstation, LARSA 4D, RISA, SAP, AASHTOware BrR, Bentley Engineering, Bluebeam, MDX Experience working with the following clients:
MaineDOT, Maine Turnpike, NHDOT, MassDOT, and ConnDOT Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
