Under the general direction of the Manager, Inpatient Diabetes Education, and within established policies and procedures, the incumbent performs the following duties:
Essential Functions: Utilizes clinical expertise to provide self-management education classes and individual counseling sessions for patients and families or significant other(s). Works in collaboration with the Clinical Manager of DRI and other providers, MD, RN, RD, ARNP, etc. to provide interactive, collaborative and on-going diabetes self-management education. Educates hospital staff, physicians, physician assistants nurse practitioners and on the benefit of intense management to improve blood glucose control in hospitalized patients. Educates hospital staff/other prescribers on safety issues related to diabetes management and discharge plan. Provides clinical expertise/educational materials regarding diabetes to professional staff and patients depending on assessed need. Acts as a resource to ancillary personnel. Contributes to discharge planning. Documents all educational and discharge planning activities according to departmental and hospital standards. Evaluates the effectiveness of education experience by verbalization of appropriate management, return demonstration of skills, outcome measures, and patient/family satisfaction. Assists Clinical Manager DRI with education of staff and patients on new medications/management of diabetes. Maintains surveillance and competency of nursing staff on diabetes management. Assists Clinical Manager of DRI with coordination of program curriculum for inpatient components of the program.
Qualifications: Education: o Graduate from an approved school of nursing. o BSN preferred.
Experience: o Recent experiences in medical/surgical nursing with a deep interest in diabetes. Licensure/Certification: o Current registration in the State of NH as a Registered Nurse. o Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. o Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification preferred. If not certified must obtain certification within one year from date of hire.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
