Job Description
We are seeking motivated individuals who are committed to excellence, and are experienced in working with primary and secondary school students, to work as Assessment Coordinators for the 2015 National Assessment of Educational Progress. Assessment Coordinators will conduct pre-assessment activities to prepare for assessments and lead an assessment team in conducting sessions with 4th-, 8th-, and 12th-grade students in participating schools across the country. Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes and involves about 30 students. This opportunity is ideal for retired educators.
Candidates must:
o Have a bachelor's degree;
o Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English;
o Have professional experience working in a team setting;
o Be detail-oriented and able to work effectively on a team;
o Have excellent communication skills and strong computer skills, particularly accessing the Internet and using email;
o Have regular and reliable access to the Internet;
o Have regular and reliable access to telephone service, via either landline or cell phone;
o Be willing to submit fingerprints for a required FBI background check;
o Be able to lead a team of assessors working with students in a classroom setting;
o Have the ability to lift a box weighing 15 pounds and carry it up stairs with or without reasonable accommodations;
o Have a valid (current) driver's license that is not under suspension and regular access to an insured, reliable vehicle in order to travel to and from schools;
o Be available to work up to 40 hours a week, when work is available, from mid-December 2014 through mid-March 2015;
o Be available to attend out-of-town training in December 2014; and
o Complete online training modules remotely during an assigned 3-day window in mid-December.
Bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish and English are encouraged to apply.
Any offer of employment will be contingent upon receipt of acceptable results from a background screening based on the specific position which will include, at a minimum, criminal records history.
This is a part-time nonexempt position with limited benefits. Pay will range from $14.75 to $17.75 an hour and is based strictly on county of residence. Working on this study can be a fascinating, rewarding experience. If you are a reliable self-starter, this position may be right for you.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
