Summary:
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Prepares various analyses for review.Assists in the preparation of monthly Financial Statements, supporting account analysis and statistical analysis.Supports the PPS Finance department in maintaining accounting policies and standards in accordance with GAAP.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general direction of the Director, Financial Operations and the direct supervision of the Finance Manager and within established policies and procedures, the incumbent performs the following functions:
Essential Functions:
1.Analyzes monthly accounts receivable, contractual allowances and billing reports for EPN and EPS, as well as independent practitioners when applicable.
2.Analyzes contractual allowances and bad debts with regards to GAAP and MGMA standards.
3.Assists in analyzing and preparing fee schedules for primary and specialty care practices in conjunction with original payor contracts.
4.Responsible for preparation, development and distribution of monthly, weekly and annual reports.
5.Performs monthly, weekly and annual financial analysis for EPN, EPS and PPS.
6.Analyze and identify issues and variances with EPIC Accounts Receivable Days In A/R report.

8.Assists in the preparation of annual budgets.
9.Assists in the preparation of the year-end audit.
10.Other duties as assigned by Director of Finance or Finance Manager
Secondary Functions:
1.Assists Directors and Practice Managers or Physicians regarding financial operational issues.
2.Participates in appropriate role in fire and disaster drills, fires and other emergency situations.
3.Exercises care in the use and operation of equipment and reference materials.Performs routine maintenance to ensure continued functioning of equipment.Maintains work area in a clean and organized manner.
4.Performs similar or related duties as assigned or directed.

11.Ability to adhere to HIPAA confidentiality requirements regarding all sensitive information and materials.
12.Ability to plan and perform diversified duties requiring an extensive knowledge of a particular field and the use of a wide range of procedures.Involves the exercise of judgment in the analysis of facts and conditions regarding individual problems or transactions to determine what actions should be taken within the limits of standard practice.
13.Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
14.Ability to travel to meetings off-site or physician practice locations.
15.Ability to endure periods of heavy workload or stress.

20.Visual acuity sufficient for work which deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, computer terminal operation, and extensive reading.
21.If applicable, ability to advance basic computer skills as the health system adds new systems or performs upgrades to existing systems.
22.Direct caregivers and certain others, involved in working with critical patient care equipment, sterile pharmaceutical preparation or food preparation, may not wear artificial nails.
23.Ability to work in an environment where latex may be present.

WORK SCHEDULE:Generally Monday through Friday, days.Must be able to work additional hours as required to respond to the demands of the position.
Qualifications:
Education:Bachelors Degree in business or accounting.
Experience:Three (3) to five years (5) in an Accounting or Finance Department preferably in a health care environment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
