Summary:
Position Purpose:
Provides nutritional care and education to assigned patients and members of the community. Provides nutrition assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to assigned patients: Identifies and designs interventions which take into account patient needs related to age, cultural background, religious affiliation, medical status, and lifestyle; Interfaces with other members of the healthcare team for improved patient outcomes: Meets departmental standards for timeliness and documentation. Provides nutrition education to assigned patients, students, and members of the community. Works as a team with diet office staff, support staff and food service staff to ensure that patients receive appropriate dietetic care. Observes Universal Precautions and other safety procedures.
Education:BS in Nutrition. Must have completed American Dietetic Association (ADA) internship.
Experience:Nutritionist: Not required. Clinical Dietitian: Two years preferred.
Licensure/Certification:Registered Dietitian or registration eligible. Must pass the registration exam and/or become a licensed dietitian in the State of New Hampshire within one year of date of hire. If already registered, must maintain registration with the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
