Summary:
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To assist the Lead Teacher in providing a warm and nurturing environment. To assist children in gaining proficiency in the areas of language, motor, social, cognitive, and self-help skills through developmentally appropriate activities.
Essential Functions:
Assist, plan, and implement the daily program under the direction of the Lead Teacher or in place of the Lead Teacher in cases approved by the Director or designee. This includes planning activities for the children. Assist in establishing, preparing for, and caring for a developmentally appropriate environment. Make any suggestions to the Lead Teacher that may benefit the classroom or program. Supervise and interact with children in all activities. Help maintain the observational and assessment records kept on each child. Responsible for completing all required paperwork in a diligent and thorough manner. Adhere to the program s policies, health and safety regulations, and emergency procedures, and be ready to implement these if necessary. Help maintain a program that helps each child have a positive experience throughout the school day by treating all children with dignity and respect and allowing for individual differences, providing for the children s individual needs, and assisting other staff with appropriate techniques. Communicate with families in an open, friendly, and professional manner about their children through regular interaction, including verbal and written reports.
Qualifications:
Education:
An associate teacher in a center based program shall be at least 18 years of age, have a high school
diploma or general equivalency diploma, and meet one of the following options:
(1) A minimum of 9 early childhood credits, including at least one 3 credit course in child growth and development, from a regionally accredited college;
(2) A minimum of 1500 hours of supervised child care experience in a licensed child care program or public or private elementary school, with written recommendation from the center director or school administrator, documentation of at least 3 early childhood education credits awarded by a regionally accredited college or university, and the following:
a. A written plan for completion of at least 6 additional early childhood education credits from a regionally accredited college or university; and
b. Within 12 months of the date the individual begins working as an associate teacher, documentation of qualification as specified in (1) above available for review by the department;
(3) A minimum of 1000 hours of supervised child care experience in a licensed child care program and documentation of successful completion of a 2 year vocational child care course; or
(4) Written documentation from or on file with the department that she or he was qualified for the position of associate teacher on or before the date of the adoption of these rules.
Experience: Six (6) months experience with relevant & appropriate age group.
Licensure/Certification: First Aid and CPR certification preferred or must obtain within 90 days of hire. Hold a NH Professional Credential, or apply for a credential to the NH Child Development Bureau within 6 months of date of hire.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
